Training for work in Argentina: Analytical approaches to professional technical training in connection with the rural productive sector

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the implications of the current configuration of the rural productive sector for vocational technical training in Argentina. To solve the proposed objective, the methodological strategy is made up of a descriptive historical design, secondary sources (reports, censuses, curricular documents, educational laws) and qualitative analysis. The analysis presents, on the one hand, the characteristics of the technical-professional modality and of the rural productive sector over time to determine the continuities and changes with respect to the characteristics of training and work. On the other hand, the analysis reconstructs the possible links and challenges posed by the rural productive sector for vocational technical training. The knowledge about the professional technical training and the rural productive sector, it is expected to contribute to the strengthening of training, attending to the design and development of comprehensive educational public policies for the modality.
