Rules Publication
The Electronic Journal of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Practices is a biannual publication (July and December) and of a multidisciplinary nature, edited by the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN), open to collaborations of an empirical nature and that communicate research results in the following topics:
- Sciences
- Technologies
- Engineering
- Arts
- Math
All articles and contributions must have an extension between 6000 and 8000 words (including tables, figures, and references): Title, in Spanish and English. Summary and abstract (150-250 words). Keywords, in Spanish and English (3-6 words). The structure of the body of the article will be adjusted to the usual sections according to the type of manuscript:
- In research articles: It is derived from and accounts for part of research, learning, or teaching experience. It refers to the achievements and possible educational implications. The objectives, the research method used and the results of the part chosen to share in the journal are stated. It must express its own purposes and show independence from the research that supports it; that is, it must manifest semantic self-sufficiency. Consequently, its structure is as follows: 1. Introduction. 2. Literature. 3. Methodology. 4. Results. 5. Discussion and conclusions. 6. List of references.
- Intercultural Action Research articles, it is about creating and recreating people's knowledge, wisdom, and practices through the democratization of knowledge and the epistemic dialogue of knowledge and actions. Likewise, it seeks to reflect and solve problem situations in and with the community, that is, the search for solutions that deepen the harmony between the spiritual and the material in balance with Mother Earth. 1. Introduction (Analysis of the context). 2. Harmony of knowledge. 3. Road designs: Intercultural Action Research. 4. Coexistence and Community Construction of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Practices. 5. Dialogue of Knowledge and Doings. 6. Action Plan. 7. Reference List.
- In review and foundation articles, it presents a bibliographic review of a certain field of study related to the subject matter that the Electronic Journal of Knowledge, Knowledge and Practices addresses. You can review the most relevant exhibitors, their main ideas, and contributions. You can make analyses and comments based on objective and supported statements. Therefore, its structure is as follows: 1. Introduction. 2. Theoretical background. 3. Methodology. 4. Results and discussion. 5. Conclusions and future perspectives. 6. List of references.
- In articles on didactic initiatives or educational innovations: Introduction. 2. Theoretical Foundation. 3. Proposal or Intervention. 4. Conclusions and future perspectives. 5. list of references.
- In essays: This type of expository text defends a thesis or opposes two theses about the specific object of study it deals with. It is a very reflective discourse in which it focuses on the analysis of current studies and the ideas raised up to that moment, with the aim of transcending its scope and questioning its relevance. It is a mature text, in which the foundation is constituted by the discussion of ideas. That is why the following structure is proposed: 1. Introduction. 2. Development. 3. Conclusions and future perspectives. 4. Reference lists.
- Book Reviews. The Electronic Journal of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Practice will publish specialized books in the field of Intercultural Higher Education with invited firms. It is important to mention that this section appears only in some numbers.
The use of footnotes should be kept to a minimum. It is only recommended for long explanatory notes that may distract the reader. The manuscript submission template can be downloaded, check according to type:

Main reasons for rejection
Currently, the magazine rejects a high percentage of contributions. The main reasons for rejection are:
- It does not respond scrupulously to the editorial standards in terms of content or format: citation according to APA 7th ed. Regulations, bibliographic references according to APA 7th ed. Regulations, etc. or it is in the process of being evaluated by another journal.
- There are dishonest practices: plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or scientific fraud.
- It does not add novelty or the theme is not relevant enough.
- It does not collect the main sources on the subject, it lacks up-to-date references and national and international impact.
- It does not have abstracts, keywords, and titles in Spanish and English.
- The abstract is not written indirect style, as a synthesis of the approach, methodology, and main results.
- Use a complicated speech. It does not take into account that the magazine is international. He does not use short and direct sentences.
- The article has no results. It is not clear if it is the result of research, personal reflection, a theoretical review ...
- You have a high number of citations.
- It does not take into consideration what has already been published in the magazine on the same subject.
Dishonest practices: plagiarism and scientific fraud
For the purposes of what is stipulated in the Intellectual Property Law regarding the actions and procedures that may be taken against whoever infringes intellectual property rights, the publication of a work that violates said rights will be the responsibility of the authors, who will be the that they assume the conflicts that could take place for reasons of copyright. The most important conflicts can be due to the commission of plagiarism and scientific fraud. Plagiarism is understood as presenting the work of others as your own, adopting words or ideas of other authors without due recognition, not using quotation marks in a literal quote, giving incorrect information about the true source of a quote, or paraphrasing abusively (even if the source is mentioned). The constitutive practices of scientific fraud are the following: fabrication, falsification or omission of data and plagiarism; Duplicate publication or self-plagiarism, authorship conflicts.
Checklist for preparing shipments
- As part of the submission process, authors are required to check that their submission meets all the elements shown below. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to the authors.
- The manuscript has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the editor).
- The file sent is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
Web addresses have been added for references where possible. - The text has single spacing; the font size is 12 points; italics are used instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are within the text where they belong and not at the end.
- The text complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Guidelines for authors, which can be found in About the journal.
- If you are submitting to a section of the journal that is peer-reviewed, you need to ensure that the instructions in Ensuring a blind review) have been followed.
Publication of ethics and statement of negligence
The journal adheres to the ethical standards of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE). Among the most important aspects are the following: The magazine is dedicated to the publication of articles under the highest standards of quality and ethics. We maintain these standards of ethical behavior at all stages of publication and with all members of our magazine. Plagiarism or any other unethical behavior is strictly prohibited.
