Prologue
Abstract
The development of researches and their publication in this issue of SCIENCE AND INTERCULTURALITY journal were possible thanks to the funding of Ford Foundation, in the framework of the project called: "Contribution to Academic Excellence in Processes of Completion and Graduation of Students of Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendants and Ethnic Communities on the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast" (Pathway II). Within the framework of this project, 20 monographic investigations were developed with the participation of 32 finalist students (20 indigenous people, 5 afrodescendants and 7 mestizos), by gender 17 women and 15 men participated.
