The focus was qualitative and descriptive, framed in referring the use of audiovisual media used by the teaching staff in the career of animal husbandry, which together with the student community formed our unit of analysis. It is cross-sectional, second semester of 2008. Information was obtained through observation, interviews and focus groups. The findings indicated that the timely administration of audiovisual media in teaching allows the consolidation of significant learning as long as it focuses on the integral formation of the individual. It was found that the teaching staff is aware of the relevance of these tools when facilitating their conferences or listening to the presentations made by the student community. However, granting that the equipment is available, in most cases there is some resistance to its use.
