Methodological proposal in the application of the derivative in Agroforestry Engineering, II Semester 2013
Abstract
This research has shown the importance of methodological strategies in the educational process in the applications of the derivatives in the Agroforestry Engineering career, pretending that students develop autonomy to enrich their knowledge and meaningful learning, build awareness about the importance of the implementation of softwares in mathematical applications. The mixed approach allowed enriching the quantitative data with qualitative information, allowing the collection, analysis and linking of the indicators. The population was conformed by 58 students of Agroforestry Engineering of the URACCAN Bluefields and Siuna (Las Minas) precincts, considering as a sample all population, because it is very small when applying the triola formula for the calculation of the sample of a population finite with a margin of error of 1% and a confidence level of 95%. The study determined that the biggest difficulty is that the students do not bring a full mastery of Mathematics (algebra and geometry), which is why they are difficult to understand and solve the derivatives.
